Whups, there likely won’t be a full post tonight. Carly and Lolo are asleep in my living room. The plug for my computer is in there. And I’ve got around five minutes of battery time left!

So many kids grow up seeming to think that strawberries come from California, raspberries from Mexico, and milk comes from the cooler at the grocery store, naturally. Why not? It’s not like city kids get to visit farms much. We grow up completely dissociated from the people who grow and produce our food.

Lots of trains! And we got on one of them. The West Coast Express runs a commuter route in and out of the city. Perfect for us, heading up the valley for the weekend.
