Last night Cameron listened and paid attention, did as he was asked, and behaved himself marvelously. He ran, jumped, kicked, and stood still where he was told to.
The well has run dry. He used up all of his listening and good-behaving resources. I didn’t know that the supply was finite.
I swear he’s running around trying to find all the ways possible to misbehave. He’s jumping on furniture, then telling me he’s not doing it while he’s in action. He didn’t take off his shoes when he came in, and ignored me while I asked him repeatedly to do so. He’s shoving a straw up his nose. He’s continuously whining, “Maaaamaaaaaaa? Maaaamaaaa?”
Here’s hoping that over time his well of good behaviour gets deeper.
